A Russian military helicopter crashed in the south of Iraq due to a technical problem, a security source said.
“A military helicopter of the Mi-35M type crashed near a military zone in Jamia district, located in south of Wasit province," the security source said.
The source added that all paratroopers aboard the helicopter survived the crash.
The multirole attack helicopter is a comprehensive modernization of the Mi-24V T. It can be operated in high temperatures in mountainous terrain.
