Euphrates Shield, Afrin Operation (Olive Branch), Peace Spring Operation, and Spring Shield.

They all ended in victory.

The greatest success is going to come now.

The intervention that will change equilibriums just started. The world will see Turkey’s fury and determination now.

These victories, these operations, these “shield” operations will continue.

They will all be carried out in patience, with precision, waiting for their time.

Despite all efforts “inside,” in the west, east, north and south to prevent, despite the threats, this journey is going to continue with even bigger strides.

We were in the defense mide for nine years. We are striving to protect our borders and internal security. The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), its Syrian wing People’s Protection Units (YPG), Daesh, the Latakia administration, the U.S., Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), they all tried to stall Turkey; if that did not work, they tried to stop it with threats and pushed it to defense.

Now, the offense has started. Now, force is going to foil the ploys. Such an “large-scale” operation was launched for the first time after nine years.

Our troops were martyred in Idlib, one after the other. In the latest vicious attack by Russia and Iran, 36 of our nation’s children were martyred. They are no longer targeting Turkey covertly but directly.

Nonetheless, Turkey changed the definition of the Syria war. “Operation” was changed for the first time to “war.” Because this is what “The regime will be targeted everywhere” means.

Turkey is targeting the Latakia Minority Government directly and in every field for the first time now.

It is trying its own methods, its own war tactics despite Russia and Iran’s powerful defense systems and despite the airspace being closed.

This is what we call the “Turkey axis.”

This is what we call the “rise of power.”

This is what we call “turn in history.”

This is what we call “the shaping of a new Turkey-centered region.”

Russia, the U.S., Europe and the countries and the region will all have to accept this new power. Iran and Saudi Arabia will have to accept it as well.

They know; they are trying to stop it because they know. As “stopping Turkey” has become a regional and global aim, they are all behaving the same way with respect to Turkey.

Some become friends, some become foes, but they all show the same attitude at the most critical of times.

The “terror corridor” plan was supported by the U.S., Russia, Iran and Saudi Arabia. How does this happen?

All of these countries are supporting the plan to siege Turkey in the Middle East. How does this happen?

In Syria, first the U.S., then Russia used the same distraction tactic. How does this happen?

While Saudi Arabia and the UAE are engaging us overtly, Iran is fighting with Turkey in Aleppo. Now, it is doing the same thing in Idlib. How does this happen? Were they not separate camps?

Iran and Saudi Arabia are on the same front against Turkey in Syria. How does this happen?

The same powers that were against each other united against us in Libya. How does this happen?

They tested Turkey’s patience for so long. They distracted it; they made promises they never kept and gained time. They said, “Turkey is an honest country in diplomatic relations, we will convince it somehow.”

Iran, which has no border with Syria, settled there. Russia which has no border settled in. The U.S. which has no border settled in.

The only country that does have a border is Turkey, with its hundreds-of-kilometers-long border, Turkey, which has confronted all the terrorist organizations here, whose national security is threatened, where millions of Syrians have taken refuge should keep out, how come?

Keeping all diplomatic channels open, Turkey made a decision. It realized that the only way to eliminate the threats to its national security is its own resolve, its own fight, and took action.

It launched the spring shield operation. It had no other choice.

First, the border gates were opened to hundreds of thousands of refugees. This is going to increase to millions. EU countries are now coming face to face with the hypocrisy they’ve shown for the last nine years.

They are facing their own lies. The refugee issue might reach levels that enough to shake European security – and it will.

Turkey is no longer going to be Europe’s defense shield. It is not going to protect Europe’s borders. While they are living there in comfort, without taking any responsibility, sermonizing about humanity only, they did not give any support to Turkey with respect to its security issue.

The decision to open gates to refugees is a decision that will turn upside down their gravest security plans. Let them think about it now. They will be heading to Ankara very soon.

Turkey is teaching a brand-new method to world war history with its armed unmanned aerial vehicles (AUAV). Expensive aircraft, expensive air defense systems are useless.

SIHAs are being used this expansively, as such an air operation for the first time. The UAVs and AUAVs that have been used to date to strike certain individual targets are now being used as air forces.

Turkey did this. It is going to do even more. It was not only the Syrian war’s equilibrium that was destroyed but all air defense doctrines. Now, everything is going to be re-defined. Air defense concepts are going to change entirely.

Turkey is parting the doors to the future.

This is the first time we are making “war”-scale intervention in nine years of conflict. We are seeking very effective results. Despite all the countries that are isolating us from Syria, from the East Mediterranean and the Mediterranean in general, despite the “internal invader front” that acts together with them!

I have an extremely serious concern.

This is a critical concern for Turkey.

You will be angry, you will attack, but I will write it anyway.

Was something new being attempted with our receiving consecutive news of martyrs in Idlib, with the latest martyrdom of 34 of our nation’s children, with messages from main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu along the lines of, “be ready, we are coming to power,” with encouraging statements from the U.S. and Europe, with the Gezi Park incidents breaking out all over again, with the former president “being proud of Gezi,” with the panic that started in Kılıçdaroğlu as soon as the Spring Shield was launched, with the public “preparing for something” for days, with the intensification of coordinated attacks by opposition media, with the attempt to raise indignation through news of martyrs?

Was a plan made to cause a conflict between Turkey and Russia to prepare the atmosphere for the West’s “help” and topple President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and pull out of Syria?

The same was tried before July 15, 2016.

Those who failed on July 15 had started to siege and attack from Syria. All interventions since the Euphrates shield struck a blow to the inside scenario as they did to terrorism.

The “Peace Shield” is breaking the backs of those “inside” as much as it is breaking that of the Assad regime. Thus, their panic is going to grow further.

While they were saying we are going to topple Erdoğan, we are going to down Turkey, they are instead bringing the downfall of Damascus. They must be in shock right now.

The AUAVs not only taught a new method to war history, they not only broke the Latakia government’s back but they also changed another equilibrium. They negated another multinational scenario.

They caused great disappointment to those waiting “inside,” rubbing their hands.

It changed the equilibrium both within and outside.

Regardless of your political identity, regardless of your ethnic identity, whether you like President Erdoğan or not, everybody who loves this country must protect Erdoğan!

This is not a Syria matter but a Turkey matter.
