A record number of real estate properties was purchased by Azerbaijani citizens in Turkey between January and August 2021, according to data released by the Turkish General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre.
According to the figures, Azerbaijani citizens purchased 858 properties in Turkey, an increase of 158 properties compared to the first eight months of 2020.
In August 2021 alone, 138 real estate properties were sold to Azerbaijani citizens, while foreigners purchased a total 5,866 properties in Turkey, an increase of 50.7 percent on an annual basis.
In 2020, Azerbaijanis purchased a total of 1,279 properties in Turkey.
