TA London/Turkish Art Week, which is being held in the U.K. for the first time with the participation of movers and shakers of the art scene, has brought together Turkish talent hailing from not only Turkey but all over Europe, including Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus, at the famed Saatchi Gallery in London.
“With this project, we’re very excited to bring together contemporary Turkish artists for the first time at Saatchi Gallery, one of London’s important art venues,” said Fazilet Seçgin (CoolRain Art), co-organizer of TA London/Turkish Art Week.
Over 1,000 guests attended the VIP evening opening at Saatchi Gallery, where over 100 works by 21 contemporary artists were exhibited.
“We are honored to meet with Turkish and British art lovers and we would like to thank them for their intense interest in our exhibition,” continued Seçgin.
TA London will continue to grow as it showcases successful new and established talent from Turkey, as the Turkish Art Week project is set to become a mainstay of the London art scene with exhibitions planned to be held every year in October.
TA London will take the show on the road with more exhibitions planned for Izmir’s Alaçatı, New York and Berlin.
Art lovers in the British capital, London, will be able to visit the exhibition between October 27-31.
Among the artists featured in the exhibition are Bahri Genç, Barış Sarıbaş, Başak Cansu Güvenkaya, Cengiz Yatağan, Çiğdem Erbil, Devrim Erbil, Ece Clarke, Emin Çizenel, Esra Meral, Eva Sonaike, Joanna Gilbert, Mehmet Günyeli, Mine Zabcı, Nuri Battal, Renk Erbil, Rina Bakis, Works by Sakit Mammadov, Sina Mirel, Sümer Erek, Yam Karkai, and Yiğit Yazıcı.
