The 42-year-old star Vince Carter will ink a one-year deal to return to the Atlanta Hawks for the last season in his career, NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski said late Monday.

With this agreement, Carter will play his 22nd season in the NBA as the veteran will set a record for most seasons played with a single career in the league, passing Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, Kevin Willis and Robert Parish who made appearances for 21 seasons in the NBA.

The eight-time NBA All-Star played with 17-point average in 1,481 regular season games during his career, claiming the Rookie of the Year award in 1999.

Carter produced an average of 7.4 points in 76 appearances with the Hawks last season.

Separately, the Western Conference franchise Golden State Warriors and Draymond Green have reached an agreement to extend the All Star forward's contract.

Three-time NBA winner Green signed a four-year, $100M maximum contract extension with the franchise, according to Wojnarowski.

Green, 29, averaged 9.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 533 games in seven seasons for the Warriors.
