23-year-old Jamaican Toni-Ann Singh bagged the Miss World 2019 award at an annual pageant held in London.
“To that little girl in St. Thomas, Jamaica and all the girls around the world - please believe in yourself. Please know that you are worthy and capable of achieving your dreams. This crown is not mine but yours. You have a purpose,” she said in a tweet.
Singh has become the fourth Jamaican to have been crowned at the 69-year-old event amid debates over its relevance in the present age.
