Turkish doctors and nurses 'penguin dance' in bid to boost hospital morale

As the coronavirus outbreak grips people across the world, Turkish health personnel have devised a rather cheerful way to deal with despair. In the eastern province of Malatya the Turkish healthcare workers in full protective gear in a private hospital were filmed dancing the “Penguin Dance” in an effort to keep morale up as the country combats the coronavirus outbreak. The video shared Doctor Zercan Kali on social media went viral in Turkey. Turkey confirmed Saturday (April 4) that 76 more people died from the coronavirus in the country over the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 501. The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases surged to 23,934 as 3,013 more people tested positive for the virus in a day, according to data Health Minister Fahrettin Koca shared on Twitter. So far, a total of 786 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, while 1,311 patients are currently under intensive care units, Koca said.
