Turkey's new trade minister said on Wednesday they have only one aim that is to raise the welfare of 84 million people.
"We will endeavor to do everything to expand [the volume of] Turkey's exports, economic size, and raise the level of welfare," Mehmet Mus told the reporters in the parliament.
He had been informed before he was appointed, Mus noted, adding: "Our president [Recep Tayyip Erdogan] had shared it with me."
Mus will take his oath in the parliament on Wednesday at 2 p.m. local time (1100GMT).
He holds an undergraduate degree in business from Turkey's Akdeniz University, a postgraduate degree in economics from Washington State University in the US, and a doctoral degree from Turkey's Marmara University in economic history.
Mus has been a member of the parliament for the last four terms.
