Turkey's benchmark stock index started Wednesday down 0.24% or 212.17 points to open at 94,006.52 points.
On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index surged 2.13% to close at 94,218.70 points.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.8730 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Wednesday, down from 5.8380 at Tuesday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 6.5800, versus 6.5370, and one British pound traded for 7.3960 Turkish liras, compared to the last close at 7.3280.
Brent oil was sold for $62.31 per barrel as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Wednesday.
