The Higher Institute of Music of Sousse (ISMS) acquired a web radio on Wednesday, called "RadioUni", inaugurated on Wednesday in the presence of the director of the office of the Minister of Higher Education, the president of the University of Sousse and Türkiye's ambassador to Tunisia, Ahmet Misbah Demircan, whose country contributed to this promising project, through the Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA).

During his speech at the studio's opening, Ambassador Demircan stated, "This project is important not just for the students of the music institute but also for the Tunisian youth. We are proud to implement projects that contribute to the development of relations at all levels between Türkiye and Tunisia. In future projects, we will continue to strengthen and support these bilateral relations."

The Director of the Music Institute, Mr. Hakima, mentioned that the studio would be used by students and that this project would contribute to the university’s success.

Stressing that the project was initially focused on education, Mr. Hakima added: “Since 2017, we have worked to create a radio within the university. This studio, equipped with high-tech equipment, especially for students visually impaired, has everything a professional radio station could ask for. We thank TİKA for the studio it made available to our university."

"This is the third professional studio installed by TIKA in Tunisia"

The TIKA coordinator in Tunisia, Mr. Cebeci, highlighted that the radio and sound management studio installed at the Institute of Music in Sousse would greatly support the education of students.

Mr. Cebeci continued, "The studio in Sousse, where we are today for its inauguration, is the third professional studio installed by TIKA in Tunisia. Previously, we had installed studios at the Tunisian Press Agency (TAP) and the National Computer Center for Children and Youth of Tunisia. What makes this project particularly significant is that this studio will also benefit visually impaired individuals, thanks to the special equipment we have provided."

According to data from TIKA’s office in Tunisia, TIKA, which began its operations in Tunisia in 2012, has carried out nearly 250 projects and activities so far, primarily in the field of education.
