Lebanon and Turkey agreed on Monday to enhance bilateral cooperation in the health arena.
This came during a meeting in Beirut between Lebanese Health Minister Jamil Jabbak and Turkish Ambassador Hakan Çakıl.
At the meeting, the two sides reviewed “issues of common interest”, according to a subsequent statement released by the Health Ministry.
The statement, carried by Lebanese state media, added that the meeting had focused on bilateral cooperation, “especially in the field of public health”.
The two sides also reportedly agreed on the need to assist Lebanese patients seeking liver transplants at Turkish hospitals.
