British lawmaker David Amess has been stabbed multiple times while meeting his constituents in Essex on Friday.
Amess, 69, who is from Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative Party, was attacked by a man who walked into his constituency meeting, according to reports.
Essex Police said a man has been arrested following the incident.
“We were called to reports of a stabbing in Eastwood Rd North shortly after 12.05pm [1105GMT]. A man was arrested shortly after amp; we’re not looking for anyone else,” the force said on Twitter.
