The Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) terrorist organization on Friday targeted refugee camps in Atmeh and Sijju.

The most recent PKK attack targeting the Atmeh refugee camp with rockets caused the death of three refugees and wounded eight civilians.

PYD/PKK terrorists fired a mortar shell from Jindaras area in northwestern Afrin into the refugee camp in Idlib.

The terrorists resorted to this inhumane tactic as the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) destroyed PKK rockets used to target Turkey’s Reyhanlı and Kilis located near the Syrian border.

The attack triggered a state of panic and fear among refugees in the camp.

Located near Turkish border, Atmeh refugee camp is home to thousands of civilians who were forced from their homes over the 7-year conflict in Syria.

The PYD/PKK has been sporadically targeting the Atma camp and its surroundings.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States. The PKK has been conducting armed violence in the southeastern part of Turkey since 1984. More than 40,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the three-decade long conflict.

Turkey initiated Operation Olive Branch on Jan. 20 in Afrin to establish security and stability, eliminate terrorists of PKK/KCK/PYD-YPG and Daesh, and save locals from the terrorists’ oppression and cruelty.
