The United States continues to send arms to the Syrian branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorist organization under the pretext of fighting Daesh, and the recent route of the shipment is Afrin, where Turkey is preparing to launch a military operation. The latest video published by the terrorist organization revealed the contents of the truckloads of arms aid sent by the Pentagon, which have reached over 4,000 to date.

PKK/PYD terrorists are shooting videos to spread propaganda, showing convoys including tanks, armored vehicles and anti-aircraft vehicles in Afrin which has been occupied by them. Digging a 20-kilometer tunnel network along the border with Turkey, terrorists have been equipped with advanced anti-tank systems by the U.S.

AT-4 tanks deployed to PKK/PYD positions

Footage of some of the anti-tanks given to the PKK to be used against Turkish troops was discovered by Yeni Şafak. AT-4 type anti-tanks were distributed to the terrorists deployed along the border. The PKK terrorist organization occupied Afrin, which shares a 130-kilometer border with Turkey, in 2012 and declared it as a unilateral canton. It speeded up its front fortification after key PKK figures from Qandil arrived in the region.

Great amounts of munition sent

Some of the AT-4 anti-aircrafts are being kept in underground arsenals built in Syria’s Afrin-Rajo region. Dozens of AT-4 anti-tanks can be seen stacked in the photograph. These were used by the PKK in a terrorist ambush on Nov. 2 in Turkey’s eastern Şırnak province against Turkish troops. The Pentagon’s support to its ground force PKK terrorists has not been limited to AT-4 weapons. More than 200 Konkurs, Javelin and TOW anti-tank missiles, and over 50 Igla anti-aircraft systems have been deployed along the border to be used against the Turkish army.

In recent months, the U.S. has stepped up its support for PKK terrorists in Syria by sending hundreds of weapon trucks across the border from Iraq.

Turkey has repeatedly objected to U.S. arms being sent to the PYD, due to its links to the terrorist organization the PKK.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.

The PKK has been conducting armed violence in the southeastern part of Turkey since 1984. More than 40,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the three-decade long conflict.
